CremationCompare is an independent price comparison website for direct cremation services in the United Kingdom. We are not a funeral director and do not provide funeral services directly.
What information we collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide through our callback request forms:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your preferred urgency/timeframe
- Any optional message you include
We also collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, approximate location from IP address, device type) to understand how people use the site.
How we use your information
- Callback requests: We pass your details to the relevant cremation provider so they can contact you. We do not sell your data to third parties.
- Analytics: We use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the site.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted in the EU). We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. We retain callback request data for up to 12 months, after which it is deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
- Request data portability
