CremationCompare is an independent price comparison website for direct cremation services in the United Kingdom. We are not a funeral director and do not provide funeral services directly.
What information we collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide through our contact form:
- Your email address
- Any optional message you include
We also collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, approximate location from IP address, device type) to understand how people use the site.
How we use your information
- Contact messages: We use the email address you provide to reply to your enquiry. If you ask about a specific provider, we may share your enquiry with that provider so they can respond. We do not sell your data to third parties.
- Analytics: We use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the site.
Data storage and security
Messages submitted via our contact form are delivered by email to our team inbox (hosted in the EU) and are not written to any long-term database. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. We retain contact messages for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted from our inbox.
